« On s'en souviendra toute notre vie... Une semaine pour notre mariage avec amis et famille dans ce lieu magnifique. 22 adultes et 13 enfants, de 9 mois à 60 ans... Tous charmés par le cadre, les activités aux alentours (poney, massage, jacuzzi, visites touristiques et promenades) et terrains de boules au bord du lac, et aire de jeux pour les enfants dans le village +++ ... Et biensûr les multiples possibilités dans le gîte, piscine, salle cinéma... La prestation que tu nous avais recommandée avec le clown Correo, Nathalie et sa séance d'oenologie, le super cuistot du resto Le Périssé, Fredo et le boulanger du Fossat et le boucher de Lézat. « Thank you for a wonderful holiday - we have really enjoyed ourselves immensely. The house is fantastic and very ell equipped so that we had everything we needed right on hand. The children (3 and 5 yrs old) loved the pool, the village play park (shade, swings, slide - we recommend) but most of all Sequoia Vertigo ( also loved by grandpa and mum and aunties). We have also enjoyed the Affabuloscope in Mas d'Azil (surrealist French art/ engineering, very funny but needs good(ish) French), the foret aux Dinosaures (especially the excavating) and the underground river at Labouiche. We've had lovely dinners at the local auberge and the steak fitres joint on the lake. Plus we loved two challenging slogs up the mountains from Auzat (Ben's ski-poles came in ery handy as walking sticks!). Much wine consumed, manypains au chocolat eaten, many films watched - a great holiday!»

« We've stayed in a Michelin Star Hotel and it was not as wonderful as Les Remparts. The restoration is superb and has evidently been done, not just with expertise, but with loving care too. Your attention to detail and the finishing touches is excellent. In the kitchen, we felt like real chefs. There were pieces of equipment for everything task and those copper pots were a privilege to use. With fifteen of us, the house wasn't crowded and having two living rooms allowed the youngsters have their own space while the oldies had theirs. The two terraces enabled the sun worshippers and those who shy away from the sun to be comfortable all day. The pool is magical - it's a superbe size and the temperature is perfect. It was always spotless despite being in almost constant use from early in the morning. Your recommendation for the Auberge was spot on. We had a gorgeous meal there at a very reasonable price and the service was excellent. All in all, we had an abosolutely fantastic holiday and your help and kindness was the cherry on the top, Carmel (email) »

« Thank you very much for the use of your stunning house and for your help and attention to detail over our two weeks stay. The Ariege has been an unknown part of France to us and we have enjoyed exploring what it has to offer. In particular we enjoyed walking in the Pyrenees (stunning sceneries), swimming in the pool, the friendliness, atmosphere and food at the local auberge (walkable but take torch for the return journey), catching crayfish in the lake, the journey by boat through the underground caves, Montsegur, horse riding, tree climbing at Sequoia Vertigo in Carla Bayle, reptile farm at La Bastide de Serou (with an English speaking enthusiastic guide with the chance to handle snakes and lizards), swim across the lake of Mondeley (once you get over the mud of the edges!) »
